I remember the day I was given my first camera, something inside me clicked and I knew instantly that this is what I was going to do for the rest of my life. Sure it was a cheap grocery store film camera but it was my camera and I loved it! I remember directing and posing and looking for the right light, the anticipation of waiting for the film to be developed to see if any of them turned out and getting excited over the ones that did. My love of photography pushed me to learn how to develop my own film. I learned how to be patient during the process and it encouraged me to get it right in camera but to never stop being creative. With two provinces I call home, it allows me to travel and discover new locations and meet as many people as possible! This has easily become one of my favourite things about being a photographer. No matter the distance I will always find a way to get to the perfect location for the ones I’m lucky to photograph.
